Healthy Communities • Healthy Youth Initiatives Email Discussion Group
This discussion group is for coordinators and other leaders of
community-wide
initiatives who are seeking to apply Search Institute's framework of
Developmental Assets in their community. Coordinators can share ideas with each other
and ask for advice from their peers. Participation is restricted to individuals
involved in leading community-wide efforts.
Specifically, this discussion group provides an opportunity for people
involved in community-based asset-building initiatives to:

Discuss the nuts-and-bolts issues involved in launching and sustaining
initiatives that grow out of Search Institute's framework of developmental
assets.

Share ideas about what's working in their community to create a healthier
community for children and adolescents.

Talk about problems faced in launching these initiatives-and get practical
ideas from peers about how to overcome the barriers.

Build connections to other communities from across the United States that
are actively involved in asset-building initiatives.
